I generally prefer tele lenses to wide angle lenses. I just like the feeling of being able to bring what I see closer. Because tele lenses are often heavy, I have gotten used to bringing my 85mm lens with me when I go hiking. It has some tele-quality and is not too heavy. And when I see a landscape that I want to capture, I just take a few vertical shots and stitch them together in a panorama. Which is exactly how this landscape came to be!

Letting go
When other trees are already donning their spring greens, the beech tree is still holding on to last year’s leaves. I want to tell him – and, perhaps, myself as well – “Let go of the past. Open yourself for new opportunities.” I hope that soon the beech tree will embrace the fresh green colors of spring as well!
Spring is coming
